Description

Position Summary: The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the preparation and distribution of curriculum for Liberty Kids (Elementary and Preschool). This role ensures that all teaching materials and supplies are organized and available for volunteers each week. The position requires working on Sundays and Wednesdays, with flexible hours for the remaining time.

Position Reports To: Kids Pastor

Hours: This is a 16-hour part-time position. Attendance at all Sunday and mid-week services and special events are required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Curriculum Management: 
    • Download and prepare weekly curriculum materials for Elementary and Preschool. 
    • Print and organize curriculum for distribution to classrooms. 
    • Edit and customize PowerPoint presentations for Sunday and Wednesday services. 
  • Supply Preparation: 
    • Ensure all necessary supplies are placed in the appropriate bins for each classroom. 
    • Coordinate with volunteers to ensure supplies are available in the correct rooms each week. 
    • Keep an inventory of supplies and alert leadership when items need replenishment. 
  • Volunteer Support: 
    • Assist in preparing materials for volunteers to help them effectively lead lessons. 
    • Communicate with the volunteer team to address any curriculum-related needs. 

General Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates a Christ-like attitude in performing all work to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  2. Faithfully maintains discretion and effectively deals with sensitive and/or confidential information of a written and spoken nature.
  3. Uses independent judgment to determine work priorities.
  4. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kids Pastor and Campus Pastor.
  5. Is a loyal staff member by cooperating and following the leadership of the church.
  6. Follows Liberty's policies and procedures.
  7. Works in coordination with the overall mission, goals, values, and objectives of the church which are summarized by the mission statement "Changing Lives, Communities and the World for Jesus Christ".

Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Strong organizational and attention to detail.
  2. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  3. Familiarity with PowerPoint and basic editing of presentation materials.
  4. Ability to work well with volunteers and church staff.
  5. Ability to learn and abide by Church policies and procedures.
  6. Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner using tact and discretion.
  7. Ability to be a self-starter with drive, passion, and initiative.

Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The job will primarily be carried out in an office setting and require sitting, standing, as well as bending, and carrying some moderately heavy items. Most of the work will be accomplished at the computer, but there will be a good portion of time spent in the kids ministry area as well.
