Responsibilities
As Community Services Event Project Manager for Liberty Military Housing, you are responsible for the managing, operating, designing, communicating, training, and maintenance of major projects for Community Services. Your role requires project management skills with excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and communication skills. You will be the main lead for the creation, implementation, and management of the Event Registration Website system. You will work with stakeholders both internal and external to ensure Community Services has an effective registration website for events and marketing purposes. You will host and attend meetings and provide effective communication on the details for the project. Your role will also be assigned to other projects to support the overall Community Services team.
Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the Event Registration Website Project
- RFP and Proposal Process
- Bidding Process
- Implementation Process
- Training Process
- Marketing Items
- Ongoing communication, issue resolutions, users, updates with partnering company
- Stakeholder management and communication
- Host or attend all meetings associated with projects. Keep good minutes and action items for all stakeholders.
- Manage Contract and Budget Management for projects including processing payments.
- Adhere to company proposal and approval processes.
- Complete Project Approval Forms (PAFs) as necessary.
- Obtain and submit project documentation for file maintenance.
- Establish, implement, and manage project management schedule on major improvements.
- Coordinate with the Community Services Directo on communication to residents regarding upcoming projects.
- Prepare marketing and communication plans to all stakeholders.
- Assist the Community Services Team with any other requests as directed by the Community Services Director.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Participates in and attend various department or regional meetings, resident or community events, seminars, and other work-related events.
- Complies with all federal, state and local applicable laws, including Fair Housing, OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment, and LMH Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Operates a company or personal vehicle to travel to various locations for work purposes.
- Oversee other assigned special projects
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
What You Need for Success:
- Position requires a minimum of 3 years or more experience in managing projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, event planning, marketing, communication, or related field preferred.
- A certificate in event planning or project management is preferred.
- Working Knowledge of event registration websites
- Working knowledge or experience with the military community is preferred
- Working knowledge or experience with children and children’s programs is a must
- Must have skills in customer service, problem-solving, decision-making, multi-tasking, communication, with high skills in organization and balance.
- Ability to be a positive team player and contribute to the team environment in an effective and positive manner
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and good professional judgement when dealing with difficult situations. Be able to demonstrate leading by example and role modeling good professional behavior.
- Ability to demonstrate good balance between professional and personal relationships and matters.
- Ability to represent Liberty and the Community Services Department professionally and with pride and passion.
- Ability to be self-reliant and take initiative and ownership with assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Experience with and understanding of budgets, proposals, contracts, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency and working knowledge of personal computers: keyboard, internet search, email correspondence, math, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Publisher, InDesign, Photoshop, social media sites, and other software applications preferred (i.e. Yardi, Payscan, Streampoint). Technology savvy and a quick learner.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays, able to balance personal and professional hours and expectations and manage time within a workday.
- Must be able to demonstrate quality writing ability.
- Must be able to demonstrate good public speaking.
- Must have effective time and task management skills

- Must have a working knowledge and experience with Event Planning and the Event Planning Process with an emphasis on Marketing Plans and Marketing Elements.
- Must be able to fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, rules and procedures of the company, including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to team members, and the CS Departments SOP and other supporting documents and procedures.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- The ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs or throughout the property on a daily basis
- Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
- Ability to operate a company or personal vehicle or electrical cart.
