Jewelry Product Specialist

JOB TITLE: Multi Store Jewelry Product Specialist  

REPORTS TO: Store Manager/Production Manager 

MISSION STATEMENT: 

Liberty Ministries exists to serve offenders in prison and ex-offenders in the community by showing God’s love, providing practical assistance, and supporting Biblical standards of justice. 

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Multi Store Jewelry Product Specialist processes incoming jewelry donations for multiple store locations and merchandises the store shelves at home locations.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1. Know and follow store organization.
2. Know product for your department: Costume Jewelry, High End Jewelry, Watches
3. Price product in your department according to Liberty Thrift standards for multiple Liberty Thrift stores.
4. Price product according to style, quality, condition and brand name.
5. Distinguish between high quality and lesser quality products and price accordingly.

1. During the pricing process, sort through the product.  If there is some that does not reach the standards for the store, create bulk bags or dispose of them properly.
2. Present the items in a way that is appealing to the eye for customers to want to purchase. This means cleaning or testing items on an as needed basis.
3. Partner with a supervisor, on a weekly basis, at three or more locations to determine jewelry needs for assigned locations. (price points, types of jewelry)
4. Ensure that jewelry is ready to be shipped to other locations based on available transportation.
5. Identifying jewelry that is deemed scrap and coordinating having it sold to a partnering jeweler.
6. Work one part of a shift a week at Quakertown 2 store to merchandise the jewelry cases.
7. Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, push, pull, and lift to 30-50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.
2. Must be able to communicate in English, including reading, writing and counting.
3. Must be able to operate store equipment efficiently (price guns, taggers, tape dispensers, etc.)
4. Must take direction well.
5. Be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene.
6. Must be in good physical and mental health, able to stand for long periods of time with emotional maturity and stability along with a sense of humor.
7. Must be supportive of working for a Christian Ministry, accepting the Mission Statements of Liberty Thrift and Liberty Ministries.
8. Must be willing and able to function in many capacities as needed.
9. Must be able to work without supervision yet remain motivated and productive.
10. Good organizational skills.
11. Distinguish current styles, quality, condition, and prices for new merchandise found in the marketplace.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Jewelry merchandising experience.  

Strong knowledge of gold and silver jewelry.
