Production Associate

Job Title: Product Specialist 

Classification: Part Time. Non-exempt  

Reports to: Store Manager/Assigned Manager or Supervisor 

MISSION STATEMENT: 

Liberty Ministries exists to serve offenders in prison and ex-offenders in the community by showing God’s love, providing practical assistance, and supporting Biblical standards of justice. 

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Product Specialist is to make sure that their specific products are priced according to their current value based on style, quality, condition and brand name. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1. Know and follow store organization.
2. Know products for your department: Accessories, Linens, Appliances/Electronics, Books, Home Décor, Kitchenware, Antiques, Shoes, Toys and Clothing.
3. Price product in your department according to Liberty Ministries Thrift standards.
4. During the pricing process, sort through products if there is some that does not reach the standards for the store then recycle or dispose of them properly (trash, scrap, recycle, etc.)
5. Achieve production goals set forth by management. 

1. Stock and merchandise product according to LMT standards. 
2. Present the items in a way that is appealing to the eye for customers to want to purchase. This means cleaning or testing items on an as needed basis.
3. Assist on the cash register and with customers. 
4. Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, push, pull, and lift to 20-30 pounds and stand for the entire shift. 
2. Must be able to communicate in English, including reading, writing and counting.
3. Must be able to operate store equipment efficiently (price guns, taggers, tape dispensers, etc.)
4. Must take direction well.
5. Be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene.
6. Must be in good physical and mental health, able to stand for long periods of time with emotional maturity and stability along with a sense of humor.
7. Must be supportive of working for a Christian Ministry, accepting the Mission Statements of Liberty Thrift and Liberty Ministries.
8. Must be willing and able to function in many capacities as needed.
9. Must be able to work without immediate supervision.
10. Good organizational skills.
11. Flexible schedule based on the needs of the business and available to work Saturdays. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Some High School
