The Liberty Mutual Corporate Aircraft Department is seeking a Corporate Flight Attendant to join our aviation team based in Bedford, MA (KBED). The ideal candidate will be a team player, possessing a positive attitude, who is willing to take on additional responsibilities while providing outstanding in-flight experience for our passengers. The candidate will present an extremely professional image and deliver world-class service while maintaining corporate confidentiality with regards to all aspects of the flight operation.
Job Summary
The flight attendant works as a crewmember, under the direction of the pilot in command, whose primary responsibilities are the safety and comfort of the passengers carried aboard company aircraft. The primary duties include greeting passengers, explaining the use of safety equipment, serving catering along with a variety of beverages, and managing Cabin Connectivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures that cabin and safety equipment meet specified standards prior to each flight. Appropriately briefs passengers on all required items and provides clear direction to them during normal and emergency operations. Participates in the preflight safety briefing with the crew.
- Responsible for managing cabin service and passenger accommodation including food and beverage service in accordance with the service and cost guidelines established by the department. Checks to ensure that catering and supplies, blankets/bedding, reading material, emergency equipment, and other supplies are on board and are in adequate supply for the trip and number of passengers.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of all appropriate rules and regulations that pertain to the flight attendants' role in the department (e.g., flight operations manual).
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all safety equipment, passenger comfort items and communication and entertainment systems on board each aircraft.
- Ensures aircraft is cleaned and stocked prior to and after each flight.
- Completes supplemental assignments and administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Successfully complete all assigned training.
- Work cooperatively within the department to establish and maintain a safety culture consistent with the safety management system and industry best practices.
- Works closely with other members of the Corporate Aircraft team to ensure effective communication and coordination among all personnel groups in support of the department's goals and objectives. Fosters an atmosphere of trust, support and respect by modeling behavior that embodies Liberty Mutual's Identity and Values.
- 5 years of experience as a corporate flight attendant or High school diploma, or equivalent
- Hold a valid U.S. passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions;
- Valid driver's license
- CPR / AED/ First Aid Training Certification
- Flight attendant specific training from FlightSafety or FACTS (12 months current)
- Experience on corporate, large cabin aircraft (e.g., Gulfstreams, Global, Falcon)
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Very technologically savvy, with a working knowledge of cabin communication and entertainment systems;
- Computer literacy {MS Office, iOS, iPads, etc.}
- Be able to physically perform the duties required during normal and emergency operations, including lifting heavy objects
- Able to maintain a flexible schedule, work, weekends, and holidays and be away from home for an extended period
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide
- Meet all health and safety requirements established by the Corporate Aircraft Department
- Domiciled within 2 hours of KBED
- International experience as a flight attendant corporate aircraft
- Experience working on Gulfstream aircraft
