Attorney (Healthcare practice group) - Midtown NYC
Firm:
Well established mid-sized firm with close to 100 attorneys that focuses on insurance law matters.
Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on legal and regulatory issues affecting the healthcare industry, such as HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other healthcare laws and regulations.
- Representing clients in healthcare-related litigation, such as malpractice lawsuits, insurance disputes, and contract disputes.
- Assisting clients in forming and structuring healthcare entities, such as hospitals, medical practices, and healthcare facilities.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to healthcare transactions.
- Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date on changes in healthcare laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to healthcare clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- 2 years’ experience working in a law firm or in-house within an insurance company.
- Legal analysis, reasoning and writing, including the ability to quickly integrate and synthesize facts and law to make legally sound decisions in compressed timeframes.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments and competing priorities concurrently.
Compensation:
$130,000 - 160,000 bonuses
