The Controls Technician will program, install, troubleshoot and providing engineering assistance on building automation projects and service calls.
Responsibilities:
- Programming experience in Tridium or other controls systems.
- Install controllers, sensors, and actuators.
- Field verifies proper operation of all control devices.
- Troubleshooting existing installations. Could troubleshoot down to the component level.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Discuss automation system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.
- Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
- Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Run and terminate low voltage wiring and cabling as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualified individuals will have 3 plus years of experience programming and installing building automation systems.
- Including: Boiler and chiller plants, custom AHUs, Rooftop units, integration to ancillary systems, etc
