Civil Engineer (PE) Land Development

Municipal Engineer- Water Resources Engineer- Stormwater

An excellent engineering firm in the local area is actively seeking to add a mid to senior level Civil Engineer to the organization for a full-time permanent staff opportunity. In this role project work will include but not limited to grading, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management, storm & sanitary sewer systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design tasks shall include:
• Land Development
• Grading
• Stormwater management
• Erosion and sedimentation control
• Storm sewer
• Sanitary sewer
• Review subdivision and land development plans to ensure compliance with municipal ordinances
• Prepare technical specifications and bidding documents.
• Prepare construction cost estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of Stormwater Management Report, Erosion & Sedimentation Control Reports, and Hydraulic and Hydrology Studies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Consults with and provides guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for construction of various designs, modifications, and structural repairs
• Manage multiple projects through design until completion of construction
• Coordinate with design team professionals of other disciplines as they perform their designs to ensure proper coordination on construction documents
• Perform project site visits during construction to ensure proper implementation of the design documents
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of four (4) or more years of related engineering experience
• Autodesk Civil 3D
• Professional Engineer (PE) license desired
• Strong people skills maintaining professional client relationships
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
