Responsibilities:
- Develop HVAC and Plumbing system layouts, schematics, and detailed designs utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure project accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards to meet all local regulatory requirements
- Design of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing systems
- Perform equipment sizing, thermal load, and ductwork sizing calculations
- Develop procurement specifications, prepare engineering drawings such as piping and instrument diagrams, airflow diagrams, equipment plan, and ductwork layout drawings
- Research and apply applicable codes to design
- Perform detailed heating and cooling load calculations according to ASHRAE standards to accurately determine appropriate HVAC equipment required
- Collaborate closely with team members, leadership, clients, architects, and associated contractors, to integrate HVAC systems into building designs
- Work with multi-discipline staff in designing and implementing mechanical systems in new or existing buildings
- Ability to perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design document
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Architectural Engineering, Plumbing Engineer or equivalent
- Three (3) or more years of engineering experience in the design of HVAC & Plumbing systems
- Engineer in Training (EIT)/Fundamental Engineer (FE) exam
- AutoCAD and Revit proficient
- Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Knowledge/understanding of LEED and Green Building practices is a plus
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
