Mechanical Engineer
HVAC- Plumbing- MEP Engineering- Mechanical Design Engineer
Albany area multidisciplinary MEP engineering firm is actively seeking to add a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC/Plumbing) to the organization for a full-time permanent staff opportunity. Individuals with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience of three (3) to ten (10) years are desired for mid-senior level roles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with multi-discipline staff in designing and implementing mechanical systems in new or existing buildings
- Perform mechanical design calculations and standard computations
- Follow building design and energy codes and standards
- Survey mechanical systems, equipment and building conditions
- Specify equipment requirements
- Prepare technical reports and specifications
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project team members as needed to support project design
- Coordinate with design team professionals of other disciplines as they perform their designs to ensure proper coordination on construction documents
- Perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design documents
- Prepare concept, schematic design, design development and construction documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Architectural Engineering, Plumbing Engineer
- Three (3) or more years of engineering experience in the design of HVAC & Plumbing systems
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
