About The Role
The commercial litigation paralegal will be a vital member of the litigation team, providing comprehensive support to our attorneys in handling commercial disputes. You will assist with all phases of litigation, from pre-filing investigation to trial preparation
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and prepare case assessments
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
- Assist with electronic discovery (e-discovery) processes
- Manage and organize case files and exhibits
- Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials
- Conduct witness interviews and prepare them for testimony
- Communicate with clients and court personnel
- Maintain case chronologies and deadlines
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda of law
- Draft correspondence, including letters and emails
- Stay up-to-date on relevant commercial law developments
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or paralegal certificate
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) (a plus)
- Experience with e-discovery software (a plus)
