PostgreSQL DBA
We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our PostgreSQL databases, collaborating closely with the application team, and contributing to architecture design. If you’re passionate about database performance, automation, and teamwork, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data workflows (experience with ETL is a strong plus).
- Collaborate with the application team, sitting alongside them to troubleshoot, design, and enhance database systems.
- Perform architecture work, including planning and designing scalable database solutions.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Bash or Python for automation and operational efficiency.
- Utilize Ansible for configuration management and deployment tasks.
- Provide expertise and support for additional database systems such as MySQL and Couchbase as needed.
- Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA with a strong understanding of database administration and optimization.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (preferred).
- Experience with MySQL and Couchbase databases is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and orchestration.
- Ability to work collaboratively with application development teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to architecture and system design.
