As the Senior Accountant, you will act as a lead for the the general ledger system, assist with preparing accruals, support tax compliance, complete bank reconciliations, draft financial reports, coordinate the month end/year end close, review bank reconciliations, prepare data for monthly journal entries, perform account reconciliations, assist with the annual audit process, and maintain financial records.
The successful candidate for this role will have sharp analytical skills, experience improving accounting controls, implementing policy and procedures and technology improvements.
Responsibilities:
A very competitive compensation package will be available for this position including base salary, monthly and annual bonuses (typically 15% annually), medical, dental, vision, 401K, profit sharing, wellness programs, vacation and sick time, paid holidays, employee growth, educational trainings and certifications, etc.
Working Situation:
This is Hybrid situation with 4 days in the office - Monday, Tues, Wed, Thurs in office.

Role:

Responsibilities:
- Support for Controllers: Work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller on tasks like journal entries, managing the general ledger, and other financial reporting processes including month-end close and trial balances.
- Account Reconciliation and Analysis: Regularly perform reconciliations of various general ledgers and conduct thorough analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Complex Projects: Assist the accounting team in tackling some complex well overdue projects. This would include process improvements, cost center analysis, event costing, reporting, etc.
- Audit Assistant: Work with the Controller and outside BIG4 firm on the annual audits. Assist Treasurer with the 401K audits
- Excel Reporting: Utilize Excel to create customized reports that provide insights and data analytics to support decision-making processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with different division leaders to understand the accounting impacts of business activities, ensuring alignment across teams.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Take on various projects as needed, which may vary in nature and scope.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
- 3 years of accounting experience, general ledger experience is required. The ideal candidate will have a public accounting audit experience as well as some corporate accounting experience.
- The ability to work with all levels of accounting and non-accounting professionals
- Workday, SAP, Oracle or other ERP experience is a huge plus
