About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake DevOps DBA to manage our critical Snowflake infrastructure and collaborate with our user community. This is a new position reporting directly to the Vice President of Information Technology. You will be a key player in ensuring the performance, stability, and security of our Snowflake environment. Responsibilities :
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all things Snowflake.
- Strategically guide partner teams in adapting their processes, methodologies, and code for long-term supportability and stability within the Snowflake platform.
- Tactically assist partner teams with data ingestion tasks, including query optimization, stored procedure creation, and other methods to optimize platform utilization and drive process efficiency.
- Collaborate with partner support teams to resolve production issues with urgency.
- Partner with IT Security and Engineering teams to audit, document, and support role-based access control (RBAC) on the platform.
- Cross-train IT-Engineering and / or DevOps team members on routine Snowflake operational activities to facilitate collaboration, integration work, and operational support coverage.
- Drive cost and performance optimization on the Snowflake platform.
- Partner with Analytics and Development teams to manage the platform lifecycle and ensure alignment across the organization.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team on shared responsibilities, integration touchpoints, and initial platform handoff.
- Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, including reporting non-compliance.
