Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transportation management, a strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations, and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily transportation operations, including route planning, load planning, and dispatching.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Manage and develop a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to safety standards and performance expectations.
• Resolve transportation-related issues and problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize transportation processes and reduce costs.
• Utilize transportation management software (Roadnet or Omnitracs) to track and manage shipments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transportation activities.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in the distribution industry.
• In-depth knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management software and systems (Roadnet or Omnitracs).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's license.
