We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer (Capital Projects Engineer) to join our dynamic team. This role will involve overseeing and managing capital projects while supporting plant engineering activities across various production operations. Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer (Capital Projects Engineer) to join our dynamic team. This role will involve overseeing and managing capital projects while supporting plant engineering activities across various production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, with a strong focus on power distribution, automation controls engineering, and utilities systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capital Projects Management: Lead and manage the execution of large-scale capital projects, ensuring timely completion, cost efficiency, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Plant Engineering Support: Provide engineering expertise to enhance manufacturing operations and ensure optimal plant performance.
- Power Distribution Systems: Design and implement power distribution systems, including electrical substations and generator integration, ensuring reliable power supply across the facility.
- Automation Controls Engineering: Oversee automation control systems, including PLC programming, system troubleshooting, and process optimization.
- PLC Programming & Configuration: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC systems using Rockwell Automation software, such as Allen Bradley RS Logix and Studio 5000.
- Utilities Oversight: Manage utility systems, including air, water, and gas distribution, to ensure reliable support for manufacturing processes.
- Collaboration & Project Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, maintenance personnel, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution and ongoing system improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in project management and capital projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in power distribution and experience working with substations, generators, and utility systems.
- Strong knowledge of automation controls engineering, specifically using Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley RS Logix, and Studio 5000.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting in industrial settings.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Understanding of plant engineering operations and systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with industrial automation, process control, and system integration.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
