What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool/Daycare Teacher position at Liberty Preschool Daycare?
We are seeking experienced, energetic and responsible teachers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas
- Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by administration
- Accept and maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom
- Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions
- Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc
- Attend to children's basic needs including supervising meal times, diaper changes, indoor/outdoor play and nap time
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Teacher Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Prior classroom experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong written and communication skills
Required experience:
- Child Care (in a licensed center): 1 year preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
