Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); production experience preferred.
Summary of the Position
The Assembler position is responsible for correctly assembling and testing pumps, systems and related products to customer expectations using hand tools, testers, work instructions, bill of materials while working in a team environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials and best practices.
- Demonstrate ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per defined reject process.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required per PM requirements.
- Operates both stationery and moving overhead cranes as necessary.
- Works at the directions of Department Supervisor and Team Leads.
- Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
- Participates in Team meetings and projects.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements.
- Held responsible and accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area and use good safety judgement. Expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to Supervisor and/or Safety & Occupational Health Specialist.

Experience/Skills/Abilities
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Basic personal computer skills. This position also requires you to be able to prioritize tasks.
Physical Requirements
Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
Working Conditions
Well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation. Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
