JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a Director of Accounting whose responsibilities include: all accounting related functions, management of general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and bank related activities. Responsible for the supervision of professional personnel in the Accounting Department. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting preferred.
Formal Training: Advanced computer knowledge with word processing and advanced spreadsheet capabilities preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Work Experience: Prior experience in hospital/healthcare finance required. Minimum five (5) years management experience required. Understanding of grants, federal funding and grant reporting. Ability to independently manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Problem solving and data tracking required in fast paced work environment. Healthcare experience required.
