POST Long Island: Physical Therapist

Liberty POST (formerly Island Therapies) is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Physical Therapist for employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.   Job Duties and Responsibilities:   Monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Record information on treatment and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system. Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations. Conduct physical therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, dyspraxia, gross motor delay, etc.) in our sensory gym in Deer Park. Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.   Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:      Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of New York required. A minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred. Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computers and databases A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
