What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Coat Painter position at Liberty Safe?
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have autobody paint experience with a strong understanding of the painting process, including applying different layers of paint and running the ovens to cure between coats, and have the skill to deliver top-quality finish on the safes.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of automotive painting process preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill of automotive painting
- Ability to work well with a team or unsupervised
- Previous experience in manufacturing or other related fields
- Ability to handle a physical workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Forward-thinking, goal-oriented, and understanding of role within a growing company
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Paint safes or parts of safes or vault doors with paint, primer, and clear coat
- Use ovens to cure safes between coats
- Conduct quality inspections on products throughout the process
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to handle physical workload, including standing for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, lifting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unaided

Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm. Fridays are sometimes worked.
