As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Compliance Assistant in our Cape Girardeau, MO office. This role involves monitoring and maintaining compliance-related data, handling license renewals, managing fleet information, and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations across all locations.
Responsibilities:
- Speeding Report Management: Track and report speeding violations across all locations. Compile and distribute weekly reports, while managing daily updates and ensuring timely dissemination of violations.
- Plate and Registration Renewal/Inspection File Management: Oversee the renewal process for license plates and registrations for all locations. Ensure timely delivery, receipt, and placement of documents into company vehicles. Organize and maintain files related to vehicle inspections.
- Fleet Tracker Maintenance: Update and manage Fleet Tracker information, including driver details and plate expiration dates, ensuring all records are current.
- Accident Follow-Up: Assist in following up on accident details and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
- Forklift Certification Compliance: Maintain a list of forklift certifications, notify relevant personnel of upcoming renewals, and coordinate the renewal process.
- License Acquisition and Tracking: Assist in obtaining electrical and plumbing licenses in various municipalities, ensuring all required documentation is completed and submitted. Regularly update and maintain spreadsheets tracking licensing information.
- Background Checks: Conduct routine background checks on employees through Lowes and The Home Depot. Process terminations in the Lowes and HD systems promptly and accurately.
- Administrative Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support the compliance department and ensure the smooth operation of company processes.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a compliance, administrative, or fleet management role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and licensing requirements is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
