Electrical Design Engineer I

π° Starting Salary Range: Job Grade 22 - $59,397- $75,000
π Schedule: Full-time | Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 2:00PM (flexible)

What You'll Do:

β Design and estimate cost for new and modified electrical controls, systems and equipment.

β Co-ordinate field installation, start-up, training and ongoing maintenance with Liberty trades and outside contractors.

β Handle a variety of engineering projects from conception through successful operation.

β Utilize outside consultants or other Liberty internal resources as appropriate to handle workload and provide specialized knowledge.

β Aid Maintenance in troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment.

β Perform electrical engineering design and analysis as needed to support day to day operations and maintenance activities.

β Evaluate performance of preventive maintenance activities where such programs are in place and work with Maintenance personnel to increase the effectiveness of these programs.

β Work with Maintenance to develop and refine preventive maintenance activities in areas where such programs are not currently in place.

β Develop cost estimates, work plans and funding requests for capital and special expense projects as requested by Operations and Maintenance personnel.

β Manage equipment installation, repair and upgrade projects including identification of materials scheduling of personnel and co-ordination of resources necessary to complete the work as directed by Operations and Maintenance personnel.

β Work with Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and repair the electrical control systems on various production machines throughout the plant.

β Write, revise, and troubleshoot PLC, VFD and machine controller programs as required by projects or in working with Maintenance personnel installing, troubleshooting, or repairing production machines.

β Document new programs or program changes as necessary to maintain machinery.
What We're Looking For:
πΉExperience: 1-2 years of applicable experience in heavy industry, preferably heavy manufacturing.
πΉEducation: BSEE, BSEET, or similar degree.
πΉSkills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to modify manually drafted drawings, ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologies, strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NCE) and its applications, ability to read, interpret, and generate various styles of electrical drawings, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting electrical systems.
