Job Summary: Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for an Experienced Electrician with strong heavy industrial background. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day electrical and mechanical support for large industrial machines in our manufacturing facility. This role requires a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely at our Salt Lake City facility.
Successful candidates must be able to understand, assess, troubleshoot, and refurbish different types of pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, as well as electrical applications such as 300 Electric Motor Controls (interlocked systems).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and other machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical-mechanical machines in a heavy industrial environment with controlled atmosphere conditions.
- Document actions, parts, and time usage in work orders.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on company equipment.
- Inspect and repair manufacturing machines, including heavy industrial motor control systems, as required.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience as an Experienced Electrician with a strong background in heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Strong electrical knowledge, particularly in 300 Electric Motor Controls (interlocked systems) and heavy industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Certifications or technical training in motor control systems, electrical applications, and mechanics is a plus.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including exposure to varying weather and environmental factors.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, exposed to a range of temperatures
Education and Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Electrician in a heavy industrial setting,
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, machinery, and circuitry, particularly in a heavy industrial environment.
- Certification or degree in Electrical or Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
