Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling LLC is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Lift Truck Operator to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. The employee in this position works in a dirty, wet, noisy environment and is exposed to extremes of hot and cold temperatures. A Lift Truck Operator will do various activities within the tire recycling facility. The work assignment is very physically demanding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle tires weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Safety procedures
- Teamwork
- Operating a forklift loading/unloading trailers ( must have verifiable experience).
- Experience Loading/ Unloading Flatbeds is a plus.
- Organizing product in the warehouse as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA procedures and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast pace changing environment.
- Perform manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail
- Experience operating forklifts, 1 year of experience required
- Willingness to work hard
- Strength and stamina to lift and move
- Previous experience loading/unloading flatbeds is preferred
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated
- Willingness to work in hot, cold, wet, and dirty conditions
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
Compensation:
$17.00 hourly, paid bi-weekly
