Job Summary:
IMC Outdoor Living, a subsidiary company of Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Line Supervisor. This role oversees a team of production line workers and conveyor systems, managing daily tasks such as break times, employee training, and ensuring efficient production. They utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges and maintain expertise in the production line's operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers.
- Provide training and guidance to line workers on proper production techniques and safety procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure production schedules are met by monitoring workflow.
- Maintain production efficiency by troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise on the production line in coordination with maintenance.
- Monitor and control production costs while minimizing waste.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production line.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on the production line.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, labor hours, and material usage.
- Prepare and submit reports on production performance and any issues encountered.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all employees in the facility, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of machinery and tools.
- Working knowledge and experience with a CMMS system.
- Ability to solve problems in a timely, professional manner.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and implementation of safety regulations.
- Strong willingness to work hard, reliable, attentive and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time.
Education and Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant production line experience in an industrial setting.
- 2-3 years prior experience in leadership in a manufacturing or production environment is required.
