Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for a Scale Clerk. The employee in this position Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple positions. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, filing, and faxing. Software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills. This position is responsible for weighing semi-trucks in and out. This position will be responsible for providing backup support for Transportation (Dispatch), Quality Control, and General Office in answering phone calls and assisting with increased workloads for the site at our Des Moines, IA. facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls and directing calls accordingly
- Run the scale house
- Provide support and backup for dispatchers
- Provide support to inbound/outbound sales representatives to ensure accuracy.
- Provide clerical support
- Maintain spreadsheets (EXCEL)
- Must function and interact on a daily basis with plant/transportation personnel and comply with all safety requirements
- Provide administrative support or assistance in certain defined areas to supervisor or other personnel in the office
- Serve as the customer service representative to all inbound and outbound shipments as well as incoming and outgoing telephone calls
- Assist in handling and tracking financial matters, including development or maintenance of the department budget, revenue, expenses or other funding sources
- Receive, record, and/or track incoming payments receipts and makes proper distribution of records and funds. Researches and resolves discrepancies and makes proper accounting distribution.
- Perform data entry.
- Processes forms to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Daily Customer Billing
- Prepares Bank deposits
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Administrative support experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Compensation:
- $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Paid bi-weekly.
