K-6 Spanish Teacher (Long-Term Substitute)
Job Description: This is a part-time, exempt position with an August-July work schedule (185 days). Work days will be Monday - Thursday. The Lower School Spanish Teacher will be responsible for the direct instruction of Spanish to include both oral and written Spanish, tailoring lesson plans to individual students or classes, and setting homework and assessments and assisting in extra curricular duties as assigned.
Position Narrative: The K-6 Spanish Teacher (long-term substitute) will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate curriculum and instructional program based upon student instruction and assessments that guides students to learn, grow and advance to fulfill their academic potential in the Spanish language. Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares lessons and lesson materials in a manner that supports quality instruction and student learning
- Engages students as individuals, including those with diverse needs and interests, across a range of ability levels by adapting their teaching for the benefit of all students
- Provides all classroom accommodations listed and described in student educational plans
- Delivers instruction to facilitate active learning
- Provides appropriate feedback on student work

Minimum Qualifications:
- Spanish speaking fluency (high); or Bachelor's Degree in Spanish-related field

What We Offer:
Pay: This is a part-time, long-term sub position. Full day; $150 (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM). Partial day; $75 (4 hrs or less). $175/full day after 15 days.
Insurance Coverage: Full time employees are eligible to receive employee health, dental, vision, and life insurance according to the terms of the insurance policies in which Liberty Tree Academy participates at the time of hire.
Retirement Benefits: LTA is a participating employer in Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association (“PERA”) and as such will contribute to a Defined Benefit Plan account for you.
Personal Time Off: All full-time and part-time employees are eligible for paid time off (PTO) of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 48 hours per year.
