Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Meet with students in a one-to-one, small-group, walk-in format to provide learning assistance and social support to help students improve or maintain their academic excellence through integration of effective study, learning, time management, and stress management strategies
- Direct students to their tutoring, writing, or mentoring appointments
- Help with breakroom organization, cleanliness, and inventory
- Manage department inboxes, phone calls, and voicemails
- Other duties as assigned
- Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
- Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
Education and Experience
- Current residential LU student
- Cumulative LU GPA of at least 3.0
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with individuals from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds
- Enthusiasm for ministering to and helping students improve in their academics
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Banner, and other technology skills
- Excellent level of professionalism, responsibility, reliability, and organization
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Previous mentoring and/or office experience preferred

- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
