What are the responsibilities and job description for the Off-Campus Work Study - Student Financial Services position at Liberty University?
Off-Campus Work Study employees are responsible and accountable to the onsite supervisors at the community service partner organization and Associate Director of Financial Aid Compliance at Liberty University. The Off-Campus Work Study employee provides onsite support and assistance to ensure programmatic and student success for local service partners.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Ability to represent Liberty University well in the Lynchburg community and surrounding areas. Off-Campus student workers should view their workplace as a mission field and be prepared to be a positive influence to those around them.
2. Flexibility to complete tasks which may fluctuate throughout the year and include tasks such as student tutoring, office assistant-type work, loading / unloading boxes, event planning / participation, etc.
3. Assist site directors with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications :
1. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends.
2. Excellent and detail oriented communication, arithmetic, and organizational skills.
3. Ability to utilize a calculator and computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
4. Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan.
5. Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i)).
6. Must pass various background checks, including, but not limited to, a check at the time of initial employment and subsequent checks on behalf of the Federal Work Study Community Service.
7. Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, or be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i)). Project site as well as Liberty University. Failure to pass a background check will result in immediate termination.
8. Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan.
9. Must provide own transportation.
Preferred Qualifications :
1. At least a second-year student at Liberty University in good standing (no reprimands or suspensions).
2. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
