ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Assists with a variety of event-related tasks including, but not limited to, Green Room set-up/tear-down, VIP seat management, office organizing/cleaning, guest hospitality, and errand running.
Demonstrates a personable, respectful, and welcoming attitude towards all LU staff and university guests.
Remains abreast of existing & emerging technologies, processes, products, services, & leading industry performance benchmarks.
Works effectively as a team member, embracing & fostering LU’s mission.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Team Player.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Preferred Experience
Previous event planning, hospitality, or service industry experience.
Significant availability on Wednesdays and Fridays is preferred.

Computer skills, especially Microsoft office; ability to learn new skills quickly.

Physical and Sensory Abilities
Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well-lit and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
