Summer Facilities Assistants aid the Assistant Director of Facilities with maintaining residence hall furniture and common area furniture. The roles assist with inventory, moving furniture, repairing the furniture, weekly walkthroughs, preparation of the residence halls for the academic year, and reporting issues found around campus.

Assist and support all the administrative/operational aspects of the office Assist with inventory checks Assist with residence hall inspections Assist with moving furniture and facility logistics Respond to furniture work orders Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Assist in the training of new Student Workers for Facilities Assist in office projects as they arise Other duties as assigned Available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Some weekends as needed

Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.

- Ability to drive a truck, van, and or panel truck
