Behavior Technician

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: Emergency Shelter/Temporary Housing provider looking for team members to assist individuals facing homelessness.. Residents are placed in individual hotel rooms, until they are able to secure permanent housing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for greeting residents and ensuring their stay is a positive experience. Providing assistance with activities of daily living. Maintains order and ensures client compliance with rules and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides a brief overview of the housing program in regard to program rules, procedures and services with each new client.

· Interacts with community referring partners.

· Monitor and assess resident behavior and report problems/observations to immediate supervisor.

· General resident supervision in daily living activities and general program operation.

· Monitor guests for medical distress and/or behavioral concerns on an ongoing basis through routine room checks, and addresses and documents where necessary.

· Coordinates turnover and cleaning of rooms, for new guests.

· Assist with overall facility maintenance and general housekeeping.

· Communicate with co-workers on daily basis and log all incidents in the log book.

· Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Valid ID, Driver’s License

· High school graduate or equivalent GED required.

· Customer service driven with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of those we serve.

· Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens and gets clarification and responds well to questions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
