Job Description
JOB TITLE: Assembly
DEPARTMENT: Assembly
REPORTING TO: Assembly Supervisor
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The insertion of components into printed circuit boards.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for carrying out the duties listed below in a proficient, orderly manner while maintaining a positive attitude and solid attendance record.
- Able to perform printed circuit board assembly either manually or machine aided.
- Assembly of wire harnesses.
- Assemble PCB’s into cases.
- Able to perform cleaning and masking, either manually or machine aided.
- Pass IPC certification for CIS including all Libra required modules.
- Reliably produce quality workmanship consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
- Able to follow written instructions and provide feedback as to how to improve those instructions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned within the qualifications and training received.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum one year electronic manufacturing or light assembly experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of Windows based computers, MS Word and Excel preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
- Occasional pushing wheeled cart of product weighing 30-40 pounds
- Sitting 50%, Standing/Walking 50%
- Manual dexterity and use of hand tools.
- Able to pass eye exams as required to meet the demands of the products built.
