JOB TITLE : Receiving Clerk
REPORTS TO :
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION :
Receives incoming deliveries of material, supplies, and equipment. Record all receipts into our computer system and deliver all items to their proper location.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
- Unload truck, sometimes with a forklift, and sign for deliveries when applicable.
- Verifies all incoming purchased material matches the attached packing slip including quantity
- Records all receipts in our MRP system
- Print out receiving reports and ID labels. Attach ID labels to identify all parts.
- Issue all parts that have a job number on the receiving report. Deliver all issued parts to the proper cell and / or person.
- Place all parts that do not have a job number on the receiving report into our inventory system by bin location. If there is no bin location, give the part a bin location and record into our MRP system
- Deliver all parts that are flagged to go to inspection by MRP, to inspection
- Receive RMA items. Using our RMA log, find the proper project manager. IF the part is defective, place a filled out red rejected tag on the item and deliver it to the proper cell and / or person as directed by the project manager.
- Receive customer supplied items. Using our Customer Supplied Items log, find the project manager. Place a filled out Customer Supplied Item tag on the item and deliver it to the proper cell and / or person as directed by the project manager
