Job Description:
MoveDocs is hiring a Billing Clerk to join our growing Processing team. We are seeking a self-starter who can perform data entry at a high-level of understanding and production. Responsibilities:
- Compiles, verifies, and sorts information from medical provider bills to prepare source data for computer entry
- Reviews data for deficiencies or errors, corrects incompatibilities, and reviews output
- Enters customer and account data from source documents within specified time limits; inputs medical provider bills into our system so accounting can create invoices. Will continually work with complex accounts that require critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Maintains strict HIPPA compliance for all customer information
- Performs basic math calculations to determine appropriate rates for some medical provider services
- High School or GED required; Some college-level experience a plus
- Previous office work preferred, preferably in a high-volume, customer-oriented environment
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to take direction and work autonomously
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- Excellent typing skills and comfort with a keyboard required, (10-key familiarity)
- Basic math knowledge; able to use a calculator
- Must have an upbeat personality and friendly demeanor with basic customer service skills and be able to handle stressful situations.
