Position Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Rancho Dominguez
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Briefly state the overall purpose of the job, highlighting the or for which the position is responsible and the position exists.
The Order Picker is responsible for using a forklift, stand up reach, Pallet jack, or other power equipment to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materials.
The Order Picker is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Employee and shift lead will be responsible to complete a daily inspection report in the MHE monthly inspection books
· Must immediately inform there immediate supervisor of any inspected or operational issues
· Must help in keeping all work areas clean especially but not limited to the charging and or parking areas inside the building
· Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
· Must follow all described and rolled out SOP’S and proper industry standard work methods
· Meet standards and KPI set by management
· Report of any picking quality or quantity variances
· Report to immediate supervisor any inventory control issues and or concerns
· Assist with inventory and cycle counts as required
· Reads the order to find location and then confirms size, color, sku etc. before finally picking takes place.
· Transports orders to shipping or packing locations in a safe manor
· Organized items of pallet in location as required
· Assist with stowing inbounds in racks to meet SLA
· Assist team with non-reachable locations
· Assist with transferring pallets and inventory optimization
· Offloading and loading truckloads and staging accordingly
· Assisting with moving and maintaining gaylords for cardboard and trash
· Responsible to Pick, load, unload trucks in a safe and timely fashion
· Ensure equipment is always parked in designated areas and turned off with brake on when not in use
· Must be able to report any damage or issue’s with the equipment to their immediate supervisor for scheduling of required repairs.
· Involvement in weekly safety observation practices
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Prior Scanner experience
Professional: Must have prior knowledge and experience in this field.
Licenses: Multiple MHE certifications.
Other: Bilingual English and Spanish is a MUST!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $24.00 per hour
Shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00am-7:00pm
Expected hours: 36 per week
Salary : $19 - $24
