Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Library Associate 3. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, planning and facilitating library programs, and maintaining the organization's collections.
Main Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Engaging with patrons, providing tours, and assisting with library services.
- Supervision: Managing junior Library Associates, including performance evaluations, training, and timesheet approval.
- Program Coordination: Collaborating with librarians and management to plan and implement library programs and events.
- Collections Maintenance: Processing new materials, maintaining circulation records, and overseeing mailings of library materials.
Skills and Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three years library experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
