- Prepares and reviews individual, business, and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports for businesses and individuals.
- Responsible for bookkeeping and general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage client accounts, providing financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial reporting standards.
- Deliver quarterly technical training to upskill team members while ensuring backup and continuity for critical technical and operational functions
- Conduct audits, reconciliations, and internal controls reviews.
- Review financial records, including income statements and balance sheets, to determine tax liabilities.
- Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their tax situations and any necessary documentation needed.
- Assist in resolving any issues or inquiries related to tax filings.
- Assists with audit support and tax resolution.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for clients.
- Support junior staff accountants by reviewing their work and providing training and mentorship.
- Utilize service specific accounting software for efficient financial management.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
- The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Must be able to compose clear and accurate correspondence with clients and inter-company personnel.
- Ensure that clients and/or suppliers are informed of any changes to service agreements and payment options.
- Archiving financial documentation and updating accounting databases on a monthly or annual basis.
- Updating management on any financial discrepancies found during tax filing or invoicing duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred but not required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax preparation, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and power Excel user.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Experience with remote work tools to ensure security and streamlined workflow (Zoom and Dropbox
