GENERAL DUTIES: Works under general direction and requires working knowledge of radio and computer communication systems in order to coordinate and manage communications and activity between Licking County Law Enforcement Agencies and other emergency response agencies.
Receives, transmits and processes radio and computer communications; Utilizes Computer Aided Dispatch and radio to dispatch Law Enforcement personnel; Responds to officer and civilian requests; Provides assistance as needed.Operates and monitors multiple computerized telecommunication systems and radio communications systems to transmit and receive messages.Assists the public by answering emergency calls and coordinating a response, provides first-aid instruction and provides other emergency assistance.Routes telephone calls, disseminates information to deputies, law enforcement agencies, and other emergency personnel. Other duties as assigned.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified applicants to build an eligibility list to fill and build current and future positions as law enforcement dispatchers.
Job Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, U.S. Citizen, valid Ohio Driver's License, High School Diploma or equivalency diploma.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Upon hire, candidate must successfully complete a field training program and become trained and certified in Emergency Police and Medical protocols. Must become CPR certified and LEADS certified.
