Position Summary
A clinical competent registered professional nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Prescribes, delegates and coordinates the nursing care provided to patients throughout the health system. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and health care team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. Meets all standards and requirements of LMHS universal job description.

With minimal supervision is responsible for providing all aspects of clerical support to patient care team. Works collaboratively with all staff members of the physician center.

Responsibilities
- Answers phone and enters phone notes.
- Opens and distributes incoming mail and faxes.
- Update all demographic information at check-in.
- Scan test results into electronic medical record.
- Schedules patient appointments in IDX.
- Collect co-payments and outstanding balances.
- Coordinate referral process.
- Prepares mailings identified by manager or physician.
- Responsible for "end of day" duties to include appointment reconciliation and cash accounting.
- Read, write, and follow verbal instructions.
- Ability to operate various office machines including a Personal Computer, fax, copier, etc.
- Customer Service oriented.
- Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
- Basic insurance knowledge (preferred).
