A clinical competent Radiographer who performs duties necessary for cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and / or pacemaker procedures.
Responsibilities :
- Provides pre-procedural care, intraprocedural and post procedure care of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization & interventional radiology procedures.
- Operates Siemen’s x-ray / digital equipment (single plane & biplane) & portable c-arm
- Assist with IABP insertion, Impella, temporary pacer insertion and emergency transfers.
- Surgical scrub assisting physician during invasive / interventional procedures while maintaining sterile field.
- May assist with circulating to pull needed equipment / supplies during procedure
- Assist with sheath pulls, deployment of closure devices, radial & groin management
- Participates in patient transport
- Assist with inventory control
- Participates in regular on-call coverage
- Assumes professional responsibility, accountability and initiative
- Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.
