Position Summary
A clinically competent registered professional nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning and delivery of car, patient education and delegation of nursing car. Accountable to the patient and family for care provided and to the patient care supervisor/manager for the totality of performance.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency in ACLS.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of arrhythmia management.
- Understands the user of department defibrillators.
- Is able to conduct a complete patient assessment that includes patient's needs for cardiovascular wellness and establishes goals and a care plan.
- Is able to implement a plan of care with ongoing evaluation.
- Includes patient's family and significant others in plan of care.
- Follows AACVPR guidelines.
- Establishes process improvement indicators and improves patient outcomes.
Requirements
- ACLS certification month 6 months of hire.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must have previous experience in a cardiac care environment.
- Willingness to cross-train in other areas within Cardiovascular Services.
