Overview
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a critical role in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This position involves conducting assessments, designing treatment plans, and providing training to staff and caregivers to ensure effective delivery of behavioral therapy. The BCBA will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for clients through evidence-based practices.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and needs.
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy to clients, focusing on skill acquisition and reduction of maladaptive behaviors.
- Train and supervise staff and caregivers in the implementation of behavior intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other professionals in special education, healthcare, and support services to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the field.
