Job Description : Summary Lidl US is searching for the next Category Specialist for the Produce buying team! This role monitors stock levels in the regional distribution centers and evaluates store orders to ensure availability. The Category Specialist- Produce is responsible for sending orders to vendors and liaising with them regarding delivery requirements. The role requires regular communication with internal departments regarding assortment changes and product availability.
- This positions reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule.
- What Youll Do Oversees and manages assigned project and / or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans Monitor stock levels in regional distribution centers to ensure adequate availability Analyze store orders and use the information to place orders with vendors Liaise with vendors regarding delivery requests such as arrival schedules and minimum order quantities Create and maintain sales reports for senior management and analyze sales figures to project future volume requirements Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback to the relevant buyers Liaise regularly with buyers regarding assortment and vendor changes Communicate with internal departments regarding product availability, delivery schedules and store order patterns What Youll Need Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Ability to work independently Required Education, Certifications / Licenses, Related Experience Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or related field 1-3 years of experience in a related field In lieu of degree, 5 years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above What Youll Receive At Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
