LIF, Inc. (Love is Foundation) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of misguided male adolescents. LIF Inc's sole purpose is persuading troubled young men their life has meaning and purpose. We provide a nurturing environment via residential homes and committed professionals. We strive to establish a sense of normalcy; our young men attend school, participate in sports and programs, and more importantly, receive daily mentorship from our Case Coordinators (House Directors), House Managers and Life Coaches. We've put young men on the path to become highly trained professionals with unwavering morals.
Our House Directors are responsible for the management and oversight of a residential home which includes but is not limited to collaborating with placement agencies and support services, facilitating resident appointments, supervisory duties for Life Coaches, and managing the well-being of the young men residing in the home. We are looking for experienced direct support professionals with supervisory experience.
POSITION: House Director – Full-Time - Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm, Non-Exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Functions
- Empowers young men (ages 13-18) and help to establish realistic plans to achieve individual goals
- Works with placement agencies to identify residents suited for our homes
- Develops wellness plans for each resident assigned to the home
- Coordinates and monitors health visits including health assessment, dental, physical, medical evaluations and therapy appointments
- Teaches youth appropriate life skills and help work through negative behaviors
- Submits progress notes (ie, in document system) daily for every resident assigned to the home
- Dispenses resident's medications and properly document medications given
- Builds positive relationships with youth DAILY; (goal of every day)
- Transports youth to and from appointments and social events; safely and timely
- Understands the importance of safety and how to prevent critical incidents
- Supervises Life Coaches; responsible for their performance and professional development; carries out administrative functions associated with management of Life Coaches
- Reports to LIF Inc Director
- Completes and submits reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a bachelors degree in social work or equivalent field. (This is a state requirement. Do not apply if you do not meet this requirement).
- Experience in social work for adolescents.
- Knowledge of group boarding home environment and state regulatory mandates.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (This is a state requirement. Do not apply if you do not meet this requirement).
- Must have a current driver’s license and good driving record (This is a state requirement. Do not apply if you do not meet this requirement).
- Must pass a KBI and FBI background check.
- Must be willing to complete a health assessment (paid for by LIF Inc.).
- Must be able to work with ‘male’ adolescents with behavioral problems.
- Supervisory experience, preferably in the field of social work.
- Ability to make routine decisions and determine proper action based on experience within the limits of organization’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages and economic backgrounds.
- Strong administrative/clerical skills including basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and some holidays.
- Must have effective organizational skills and ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously.
