Job Title: Speech Therapist
At Life Care Center of Winter Haven, we are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to provide direct rehabilitation care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral. This role is based on applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in community health matters and projects as needed.
- Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan patient needs.
- Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.
- Maintain professional working relationships with associates and vendors.
Essential Functions
- Establish, assess, and modify realistic goals for patients.
- Chart patient progress accurately and timely.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
- Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (MS or MA SLP).
- ASHA certified (CCCs) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Currently registered/licensed in the state.
- CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year experience in post-acute care or related setting.
Working Conditions
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English language.
