Laurel Circle is recruiting for a hospitality focused Admissions / Outreach Coordinator. This position is responsible for managing, identifying, building, and maintaining key relationships with physicians, discharge planners, senior living providers, home health agencies and other healthcare providers to obtain referrals. This position will manage all marketing outreach efforts for the Arbor at Laurel Circle Health Center, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.
Responsibilities also include supporting Admissions by assessing individuals in the hospital setting for appropriateness for placement at Laurel Circle, based on care needs and census availability.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an Admissions / Outreach Coordinator :
Assists with the planning and execution of The Arbor at Laurel Circle's sales and occupancy levels in accordance with the marketing and sales plan.Develops and maintains hospital relationships to obtain referrals and to ensure a smooth transition of care from the home or hospital to The Arbor at Laurel Circle.Functions as the Health Center public relations person, providing tours of the facility and pertinent information regarding admissions, as well as off-site visits to hospitals and doctor's offices.Works with the prospective resident, family members, and key influencers (physician, attorney, trust officer, as appropriate) to facilitate a timely and favorable commitment to the community. This includes frequent personal contact with the prospective resident, resident representative, and other appropriate influencers including but not limited to telephone calls, home or office visits, and tours as appropriate.Reviews all admission related paperwork with the resident and / or responsible party including Medicare Part A coverage and non-coverage procedures. Maintains all non-medical record related paperwork in an admissions file for each resident.Processes all Medicare denial letters, Medicare certification and re-certifications according to Medicare regulations.Responsible for marketing all areas of The Arbor at Laurel Circle and networking with local community groups, facilities, and businesses. Participates as needed in the development of annual marketing plans, competitive analysis, and planning of marketing events.Responsible for tracking and trending hospital discharges, readmissions, and other post discharge data.Keeps updated about relevant, operational, competitive, and company information to respond effectively to inquiries from contacts and convey community message.Creates new and maintains existing relationships with professional referral sources to include telephone contact, community tours, in-office visits at the professional's office, etc. All interactions with the professional referral sources are accurately and timely documented.Responsible for scheduling sufficient activity to generate the number of referral leads.Educates potential residents, family members, referral sources, and external payers regarding the effective and efficient utilization of program services and available resources.Participates in discussions with the Executive Director & / or Administrator, and other relevant community department managers regarding the formulation of resident care policies, contracts, pricing, etc.Meets census and move-in objectives as outlined in the marketing plan and budget.Plans public information programs and carries out such programs by working with all news media.Works with the Admissions team to plan and arrange for open houses, publicity brochures and displays, soliciting the cooperation of community staff and residents in these efforts.Participates in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, to facilitate a broader knowledge of the industry and of the community's capabilities.Addresses civic organizations, businesses, and service organizations, representing the community in such activities.Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by Administrator or Designee.Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have :
Minimum of Associates degree in nursing, social work, or marketing.A minimum of two (2) years' experience in sales / admissions position within a skilled nursing or assisted living environment.Must be solutions-driven problem solver with a working knowledge of health care insurance including Medicare and Long-Term Care insurance.Must be skilled at public speaking and delivering presentationsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Must always present a professional demeanor, including situations that may be stressful.Must be familiar with and adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations in all aspects of the job including sales presentations and marketing materials.Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include some evening and weekend appointments and events.EEO Employer
