Westminster, a luxury retirement community located in central Austin, is seeking an experienced, hospitality minded RN to work in our five-star rated Arbour Health Center, as an Assistant Director of Nursing .
Primary Purpose and Job Function :
The Assistant Director functions as a key member of the health care center, and as such participates with other members of the administrative team in promoting and maintaining quality of care standards. Moreover, this position requires flexibility insofar as the duties assigned to it are dynamic, expanding, and changing as dictated by varying situations.
This is a salaried position and is part of our Nurse Management team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Supervise Charge Nurses, Medication Aides and Certified Nurse Aides for skilled nursing
- Assist in the creation of Resident Care Plans.
- Track resident's podiatry, dental, and Coumadin medication needs for appropriate scheduling and follow-up.
- Ensure provision of prescribed treatments and care plan per protocol.
- Review and follow up on Telephone Orders.
- Monthly review of new orders, MARS, treatment records, and behavior monitoring.
- Assist DON with the design and implementation of systems that ensure regulatory compliance.
- This position will be part of the nurse manager on-call rotation.
