RECEPTIONIST POSITION DESCRIPTION
Objectives of the position:
· The Receptionist will present a pleasant public face at the front desk of LCR and help direct clients and visitors.
· Is responsible for answering all telephone calls, scheduling client appointments, and related administrative duties.
- Fluent Bilingual English/Spanish.
· This is a full-time position according to a regular schedule established by the Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Agreement with and willingness to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, LCR Commitment of Care and Competence, and LCR policies and procedures.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to respect and keep information confidential.
- Has a friendly, clearly understood voice.
- Ability to work well with the public.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications.
- Adequate keyboarding skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to carry out responsibilities with little supervision.
- Fluent Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Must be an active, practicing Christian with a strong commitment to the teachings of the Bible.
Essential Functions:
I. Client Services
- Maintain presence at the reception desk throughout shift.
· Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately with clear and courteous instructions; notifies LCR personnel of client arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system.
- Schedule client appointments.
- Work with clients to complete intake forms through electronic communications.
- Perform follow-up calls to all Spanish-speaking Clients and record correspondence
II. Administration
- Maintain a professional appearance (dress is business casual), the reception area and waiting room.
- Handle general questions about LCR ministry or offer brochures with LCR information.
· Use a client database or other designated software for record keeping and appointment scheduling, diligently reminding clients of appointments via text or phone.
- Answers phone. Takes messages and transfer calls to the appropriate staff.
· Copies client documents and IDs, prepares additional folders.
· Receives material donations and has donors complete the Tax Receipt form. Update the database with donation information and generate appropriate thank-you acknowledgments.
- Assist with Center projects at the reception desk as time allows.
- Attend staff meetings concerning the general ministry of LCR.
III. Additional Information/Duties
· Responsible for opening and closing of the building(s).
· The Receptionist shall assume any other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Client Services Director and Executive Director only.
· The Receptionist is expected to attend major fund-raising events and be available to help as directed by the Executive Director.
